After spending countless hours on my iPad doodling and making posters for my friends, family, and literally anyone else who wanted them, I figured that it might be time for me to get paid for it!
In all seriousness, I started this small business because I love to make my little drawings, and I’ve been told that other people like them too! I certainly hope you are one of those people…
If you are, it’s time to join the Poppy Paper fam and give your wall some personality - Poppy Style.
THE MASTERMIND
I’d like to take all the credit, of course, but the only reason Poppy took off was because of my best friend, Savannah. She is intelligent, hard-working, creative, and funny. Like, really funny. But best of all, this girl has wayyyy too much faith in me!
So, one night she Facetimed me claiming she had a brilliant idea. She said she thought I should start selling my posters and that she could run the business/sales side of things. Long story short, she got her dream job in May, which pays far better than managing your best friend’s poster company (weird, right?). So, this left Poppy (and all of it’s hard parts) to me.
Of course I wish that Savannah was part of the Poppy team, but that doesn’t stop her from giving me countless poster ideas, Instagram posts, and general tips on how to make Poppy better — like suggesting the name Decor Whore… I decided to take it in a different direction. Regardless, I literally wouldn’t have it any other way!
